Autumn in Kashmir – Sept – Nov

Autumn, also known as the “golden season,” is a breathtaking time to visit Kashmir. Which is renowned for its spectacular display of colors. The region’s lush green landscapes and vibrant flowers undergo a stunning transformation as the leaves of deciduous trees turn various shades of gold, orange, and red. The iconic Chinar trees, especially in places like Srinagar and Pahalgam, create a mesmerizing sight with their golden foliage.

Autumn is also the harvest season in Kashmir. The farmers are busy with the harvesting of apples, walnuts, saffron, and other agricultural produce. You might come across vibrant apple orchards with ripe fruit ready for plucking, adding to the charm of the season.
Scenic Beauty: Kashmir’s picturesque landscapes, including the Dal Lake, meadows, and mountains, are even more captivating during autumn. The combination of golden foliage, clear blue skies, and snow-capped peaks creates a breathtaking backdrop for photography and sightseeing.


Winter in Kashmir: Dec – Feb

Kashmir is winter is a winter wonderland. The entire region gets covered in a thick blanket of snow, including the iconic Dal Lake and the surrounding mountains.

For Winter sports it offers opportunities for skiing, snowboarding, and ice skating. Popular destinations like Gulmarg and Sonamarg turn into winter sports hubs

  • Arrive in Srinagar and check into your house boat / hotel
  • Enjoy a leisure shikara ride on the  Dal Lake and admire the stunning views
  • Overnight in Srinagar
  • Visit the Mughal Gardens, including Shalimar Bagh and Nishat Bagh
  • Visit Shankaracharya Temple
  • Explore the old town of Srinagar
  • Shop for souvenirs in the local markets
  • Overnight in Srinagar.
  • Take a day trip to Gulmarg, a scenic mountain resort town
  • In Gulmarg , take a gondola ride ( cable car ) to see the stunning views of the Himalayas
  • During the summer months, you can go on long walks, enjoy horseback riding, and explore the nearby forests . 
  • Over night in Gulmarg

  • Take a day trip to Pahalgam, the valley of the Shepherds,  a scenic town located at the confluence of the Lidder and Sheshnag Rivers.
  • Take a walk through the picturesque Aru Valley known for its scenic meadows, and mountains,
  • Enjoy skiing, snowboarding or other winter sports .
  • Day 4   Over night in Pahalgam
  • Take a day trip to Sonmarg, also known as the Meadow of Gold
  • Enjoy horse riding up to Thajiwas glacier and sledge riding on snow 
  • Take in the stunning views of the Himalayas
  • Check out of your hotel and depart for your next destination.
