Itinerary

Our representative will meet upon arrival at Bangalore International airport and transfer to hotel in Bangalore. Arrive and Check-in at the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel in Bangalore.

5-hours drive, 150 kms

Depart to Mysore. Drive past small towns, villages, paddy & sugarcane fields. En-route visit Srirangapatnam, Visit of Daria Daulat Bagh (Tippu’s summer palace   ) the Gumbaz. Arrive in Mysore. Check-in at the hotel.

Evening free walk around the city viewing pre – Independence buildings and market area. Overnight stay at the hotel in Mysore.

Breakfast at hotel. Proceed to visit Mysore Palace , Chamundi hills and Nandi staute. Later visit local Devaraj Market: a colourful market selling vegetables, fruits, flowers, conical pile of kumkum (coloured powder used for religious purpose as well for decoration in front of houses & temples). Overnight stay at the hotel in Mysore.

3.30-hours drive, 160 kms

After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Hassan. Enroute stop at  Sravanabelagola and climb up 600 steps to see Gomateshwara, a Jain saint statue carved out of single granite piece. Later Depart to Hassan and check-in at the hotel. Proceed to visit Belur – Chennakeshava temple. Overnight stay at the hotel in Hassan.

After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Hampi. Check-out from the hotel & proceed to Hospet, long travel on this day . Drive past towns, small scale industries, agricultural fields & Tunga Bhadra dam. Arrive and check-in to hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel in Hampi.

7-hours drive, 330 km

After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Hampi. Check-out from the hotel & proceed to Hospet, long travel on this day . Drive past towns, small scale industries, agricultural fields & Tunga Bhadra dam. Arrive and check-in to hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel in Hampi.

Day 6: Hampi

After breakfast. Visit the sites of Hampi, the last capital of the last great Hindu Kingdom of Vijayanagar. Begin with the visit of Lord Ganesh’s statue and then walk to Virupakshan temple and Hampi bazaar, monolithic statue of Narasimha, Vittala Temple. (UNESCO World Heritage Site). After lunch, continue with the visit of Royal Enclosure visiting Zenana enclosures, elephant stables, Queen’s Bath, Lotus Mahal, Underground Virupaksha temple, Zenana’s enclosures. (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Later return to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel in Hampi.

5-hours drive, 280 km

After the breakfast, drive to Aihole – drive past  dry and plain agricultural land of millet, sunflower and groundnut to visit the 6th century temples the early Chalukyas. Next drive to  Pattadakal , a UNESCO World Heritage Site  to visit the  Virupaksha temple, Mallikarjuna temple & the Papanath temple. Drive  after lunch to visit Badami Caves, a complex of temples carved out of the sandstone hills above & considered as an example of Indian rock-cut architecture. Proceed to Hubli and check-in at the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel in Hubli.

After breakfast at the hotel check-out. Visit Lakkundi – Around 50 temples, 101 step wells and 29 inscriptions preserved in this serene village depicts the importance of this place. Visit the Kashi Visweswara Temple – Two shrines share a single platform, one dedicated to Lord Shiva and the other to Surya. Visit Museum and later visit the Manikeswara Temple and the Muskina Bavi Stepwell. Later transfer to Hubli airport and board flight to Bangalore. Arrive Bangalore and board your return flight to your onward destination.
